img 1941Nicholas Pistolis is one of our newest Eagle Scouts. He held his Eagle Court of Honor on the 9th of March. He passed his Board of Review was held on November 4, 2013.

For his Eagle Scout Project he built a fire ring and benches for 360 Youth Services.

He had an amazing turnout for his Court of Honor. He also had the Keynote Speech presented by Mr. Koberstine. Let's support him as he works towards gaining Palms, achievements a scout can earn after he becomes an Eagle Scout.img 1936

Troop 889 has a history of excellence and service. It was chartered in 1991 with less than 15 scouts. As of December 2013, Troop 889 has had 94 Scouts earn their Eagle Rank. Troop 889 has been a long time recipient of the National Quality Unit Award.

At present, we maintain a roster of 130 boys. The current Scoutmaster is Vince Massey. Dan Draz is the appointed Committee Chair. Other adult leaders are listed in the Troop Roster.

Troop 889 meets from 7:30 - 8:30 pm on Monday evenings in the Gymnasium at Wheatland Salem United Methodist Church (WSUMC). Wheatland Salem United Methodist Church is our Chartering Organization and is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Book Rd. and 95th St. in Naperville, IL. Troop meetings are held on most Mondays. Mondays when there are no regularly scheduled Troop meetings, are reserved for the Patrol Leaders Conferences (PLCs).
